A 10-hour Learning English Online course will be offered in March at the NWTC Learning and Innovation Center in Sister Bay.
It will introduce participants to a wide range of effective, online resources for intermediate and advanced English-language learners, including websites for grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking, listening, reading and preparation for exams such as the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language). Participants will learn how to obtain the maximum benefit from each resource and how to track their progress.
Instructor Nicholas Hilmers will present information, demonstrate English as a Second Language websites and facilitate small-group discussions and brief presentations by the participants, who will have opportunities to improve their English. Hilmers has taught English-language classes at the college level in the U.S. and other countries for more than 30 years.
The class will meet at the NWTC Learning and Innovation Center, 2438 S. Bay Shore Dr. in Sister Bay, on March 11, 14, 18 and 21, 6-8:30 pm. The fee is $90 per person. For more information or to register, call 920.746.4970.
