Obituary: Alice Marie O’Dean

Alice Marie O’Dean, 82, of Sturgeon Bay passed away on May 22, 2016 at a Green Bay hospital.  She was born Aug. 19, 1933 in Door County to Carl and Lillian (Marcelle) O’Dean and was a graduate of Sturgeon Bay High School.

Alice loved music, especially listening to live bluegrass music and having “jam sessions” with friends, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She also enjoyed painting and doing puzzles.  Alice was a very sweet, kind, and generous person who was always willing to help others.  She will also be remembered for the all the jokes and funny stories she liked to share.

She is survived by five children, Larry (Mary) Lemens, Green Bay; Lory DeLeon, Sturgeon Bay; Leon (Mary Jo) Lemens, New Franken; Lisa (Ed) Anschutz, Forestville; and Leslie (June) Lemens, Little Sturgeon; 11 grandchildren, Anthony, Jason, Rick, Nicholas, Michael, Megan Melissa, Jamie, Cassandra, Steven, and Brian; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Alice was preceded in death by an infant son Lyle, her parents, husband Orville Lemens, brothers, Chuck, Loyle, Allan “Pete”, and Frank O’Dean; sisters, Elaine Walker and Lila Vogel; and special friend Bob Raynier.

A memorial mass was held at Corpus Christi Church on May 27.
