Obituary: Barbara Gail Denny

Aug. 27, 1947 – Oct. 31, 2023

Barbara Gail Denny (Visser), 76, of Sturgeon Bay died on Oct. 31, 2023 in Grand Rapids, Michigan following a brief illness.

Barbara was born Aug. 27, 1947 in Sheboygan, to Harold and Bernice (Blandin) Visser. She was a 1965 graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln HS. Barbara and her family moved to Sturgeon Bay where she worked in the family-owned The Fawn restaurant and tax and accounting preparation business. Later in her working career, she enjoyed working at The Sunshine House Resale Store. Barb loved to knit projects and treasured time spent with family, especially her grandchildren. In recent years she had taken a liking to traveling with both family and friends.

Barbara was predeceased by her parents Harold and Bernice, along with her beloved husband Marvin Denny of Sturgeon Bay. She is survived by her Brother Ken (Bonnie) Visser of Sturgeon Bay and sister Jody (Mike) Abrahamson of Green Bay. Three children Scott(Beth) Rehman of Sun Prarie, Tanya (Craig) Ridenour of Sturgeon Bay, and Michael (Jackie) Rehman of Little Chute. Eight grandchildren Austin, Sara, Dejay, Bayley, Bree, Owen, Nolan and Audrey.

Barb’s family would like to thank everyone for their love and support through our loss. Her children would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Linda Stuth a dear friend and who was with her loving and supporting Barb and her children in her final days.

We will be having a Celebration of Life for Barbara on Jan. 20, 2024 at the KofC Hall in Sturgeon Bay. The hall is located at 692 Tacoma Beach Rd. The celebration will be from 3-7 pm. Please come join Barb’s family and share in a treasured life along with memories you have to share with her family.
