Obituary: Barry Duane Lawrence

October 16, 1954 — September 20, 2022

Barry D. Lawrence, 67, died peacefully on Tuesday September 20th, 2022 at Thedacare Regional Medical Center in Appleton with his loved ones by his side. He was born on October 16th, 1954, in Michigan City, IN, the son of Edward and Elnora (Halfacre) Lawrence. Barry was united in marriage to Cynthia (Weber) Lawrence on August 31st, 1974, in Michigan City. Barry was a fun, kind hearted, quick witted, workaholic. He was loved by everyone that met him. He wouldn’t think twice about helping anyone. He will always be remembered for his selfless acts, corny jokes and contagious smile. He enjoyed karaoke, golfing, playing pool and being in nature.

Barry is survived by his brothers: Gary Lawrence (Diana), Dewey Lawrence, Tyrone Lawrence (Michelle); children: Bret A. Lawrence (Brooke) and Cortney D. (Lawrence) Rothe (Michael); grandchildren: Anna D. Rothe, Makayla J. Rothe, Parker L. Moehr, Maya B. Rothe, Joplyn E. Rothe; great grandchild: Scarlett A. Collar; and loving fiance’ Holly Herlache whom he spent the last two happy years with; as well as many other family and friends.

Barry was preceded in death by his parents: Edward and Elnora (Halfacre) Lawrence; and wife: Cynthia A. (Weber) Lawrence.

The memorial services for Barry will be held at Wichmann Funeral Home (1592 Oneida St, Menasha) on Friday September 30th from 4:00 pm until the service at 6:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will follow at 7:30 pm at Prime Time Bar and Grille (1150 Valley Rd Menasha WI 54952)

Barry was a one of a kind original. We want to thank his family and all his many friends: both old and new, for their love and support. We know how blessed we are to have had him in our lives.
