Obituary: Bernard J. Greninger

June 18, 1928 – Oct. 2, 2018

Bernard J. Greninger, 90, died at Door County Medical Center Skilled Nursing Facility in Sturgeon Bay. He was born in West Bend, Wis., the son of the late Nicholas and Loretta (nee Niebler) Schneider. On Dec. 31, 1950, he was married to Dorothy Lange. They were blessed with more than 65 years of marriage. Dorothy preceded Bernard in death on July 17, 2016. Bernard spent many years in the design and engineering field working for numerous businesses. He was a lifetime Boy Scout earning the ranks of Eagle, Ace and Ranger. Bernard was a leader with a number of Boy Scout Troops and Cub Scout Packs. He held various council leadership roles. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Oct. 13 at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church in Racine, Wis. Entombment followed at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum. Memorials may be given to St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church.
