Betty Walrabenstein, 93, of Sister Bay, died peacefully on January 16, 2017 in Sturgeon Bay. She was born in 1923 in Waukesha to Frederick and Josephine Steffen. She graduated from Waukesha High School and was a secretary at Universal Milking Machines Company until she married Arthur Walrabenstein in 1947. They had two daughters, Donna and Susan. Betty and Art moved to Sister Bay after Art’s retirement in 1985. Betty was active in many charities, both in Waukesha and Door County. She found a lot of enjoyment in baking for others.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna (Dan) Danielson and Susan Walrabenstein, her sister-in-law Edna Walls, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Art Walrabenstein.
There will be an open house celebrating Walrabenstein’s life July 27, 1-4 pm, at Alexander’s Restaurant in Fish Creek. The public is welcome.
