Obituary: Beverly L. Stephenson-Peterson

Beverly L. Stephenson-Peterson, 73, of Sturgeon Bay, died at Anna’s Healthcare with family at her side following a battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Lois (Curran) Stephenson. Bev graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School with the class of 1962 before attending NWTC Business Administration classes. On July 17, 1965, she married James M. Peterson. He preceded her in death in 1978. They owned and operated the family business, Peterson Orchards. Bev was the Sevastopol Town Treasurer for many years and served as corporation counsel secretary for 14 years. She worked for Pinkert Law Firm and the Door County YMCA. Private services were held at Bayside Cemetery on March 25. A celebration of Bev’s life will be held at noon on May 6, 2017, at Sturgeon Bay Moravian Church. Friends may call at the church from 10 am until the time of services at noon.
