Obituary: Brian Higginbotham

Brian Higginbotham died on Sunday, December 26, 2021 after losing a lengthy battle with alcoholism at the age of 49.

He is survived by his children, Hunter (Germantown), Taylor Griffith (David) of Indianapolis, Jotham, Anthony, Michael and Rose all of Fredonia, and the love of his life, Kim Higginbotham (Germantown).

He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his parents, Steve and Kate Higginbotham, brothers Tim (Becky), Matt (Amy), Alex, Zach and “brother #5” Tucker Emerson and family all residing in Door County. As well as his amazing grandmother Lois Hall.

He will be fondly remembered by his large, loving family of aunts and uncles including, Kevin and Lana Hall, Melissa and Ron Schmitz (Virginia) Mimi Hall, Jim and Amy Hall (Iowa), Megan Sarkis and Dave and Robin Higginbotham (Georgia) along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Brian deeply loved and was so proud of his children. They brought so much joy to his life. He especially loved his Door County family and friends. Brian was a sweet soul, an exceptionally kind human who gladly gave freely of his time to friends and strangers alike. He will be so missed.

A private celebration of Brian’s life will be held at a later date.
