Obituary: Bryan J. Buske, Fish Creek

Bryan J. Buske of Fish Creek passed away in the early morning on Monday, September the 17th at age 52.

Bryan was a loving husband of 29 years to his wife Laurie and a dearly loved father of Clayton and Katelaine. The caring son of Lorraine and son-in-law of Charles and Kathleen; dear brother of Miles (Rita), Mary (Chuck), Brenda (Scott), and Lori (Dan) and brother-in-law to Steve (Mabel), Jeff (Steph), Greg (Julie) and Jon Paul (Beth). He was also a devoted Godfather to Josh, Brandon, Samuel, and Elli. He was better known as “Uncle Buddy” to 20 nephews and nieces and 6 great-nephews and nieces. Adored by his new son Bryan (Alicia) and two grandchildren Haylee and Alex.

Bryan spent his last few years in Door County where he had vacationed and dreamt of living his entire life. He would beam with pride when talking about his compound and was often seen driving his green Ranger monitoring every inch of his property. Bryan was a proud alumnus of UW – Stout who worked at GMR Marketing for 30 years and was one of the major building blocks who helped construct the company to what it is today.

His proudest accomplishment at GMR was the Johnsonville Big Taste Grill, which launched GMR as the pioneer in mobile marketing. GMR will miss his loud booming voice in the halls, an indication Bryan was in town. At work, he was not just a co-worker or boss, but a friend to all who cared about everyone and their families. Bryan loved his Jeeps and could be spotted cruising around Door County in one of them. Bryan will always be known for his big heart and love for his family.

A devoted husband who won his girl at UW – Stout and always kept her by his side, he was a father who was always directing the best path for his children’s future. Family was the most important part of his life; they knew he had their back with his unending “Big Love.”

I the Lord will be your Father, Savior, Comforter, and Brother. Go my children; I will keep you and give you piece. – Lutheran Hymn

A memorial service will be held Friday, September 21 at Christ Lutheran Church, at 9986 Highway 57 in Baileys Harbor. Visitation will be from 10 – 12 pm and a family and close friends’ service will be held at 2 pm, followed by burial at Peninsula State Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up in honor of Bryan.
