OBITUARY:  Carol Ann Longley

Carol Ann Longley, 78, of Sturgeon Bay, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2018 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.

She was born Dec. 2, 1940 in West Allis, the daughter of the late Donald and Josephine (Aliota) Hammond.  Carol attended schooling in both Milwaukee and Sturgeon Bay.  On Sept. 8, 1955, she married James Allen Longley in Marshall, Texas.  Together, they shared 58 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 2014.  Carol and James were members of Assembly of God Church.  She loved traveling, fishing, golfing, camping, and anything to do with the oceans.

Carol is survived by her four children, Corrine (David) Stephany of Green Bay, Robin Longley, Vicki (John) Fredrickson, and Glenn (Susan Wells) Longley, all of Sturgeon Bay; ten grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Joyce (Ival) Smith of Chetek and Donita James of Sturgeon Bay; ten siblings-in-law, Jeane Moreno of Lakewood, CA, Sharon (John) Kelner, Janet Gaethke, Gary Fictum, all of Sturgeon Bay, Richard (Mary) Longley, Linda (Fred) Janus, and Chuck (Beth) Longley, all of Green Bay; special friend, Jane Kasten; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim; grandson, Christopher Longley; brothers-in-law, George Longley and Dale James; and sister-in-law, Susan Ricco.

A funeral service to honor Carol’s life will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018 at Huehns Funeral Home with Pastor Cory Dahl officiating.  Carol will be laid to rest next to her husband, Jim, in Blossomburg Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:20 a.m.
