Obituary: Clarice Julian Cochart

Clarice Julian CochartClarice Julian Cochart, 92, of Brussels, passed away on November 14, 2015, at Bellin Hospital.  She was born March 24, 1923, to Henry and Lucy (Jeanquart) Rass in the town of Union.  On June 20, 1945, she married Harris W. Cochart at St. Mary of the Snow Church in Namur.  Clarice enjoyed quilting, sewing, and going out to eat.  She especially loved it when her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren stopped by to see her.  Clarice was a life-time member of St. Francis and St. Mary’s Parish and said the rosary multiple times during the day.

Survivors include 4 sons, Terry (Mary) Cochart, Brussels, Rod (Nancy) Cochart, Casco, Reggie (Jane) Cochart, Brussels, and Michael Cochart, Brussels; 3 daughters, Suzanne (Wayne) Delwiche, Brussels, Marcia Vlies, Brussels, and Lisa (Don Dumman) Stade, Casco; 19 grandchildren, Tricia (Mike) Hanson, Tim (Tracie) Cochart, Tracy (Greg) Jorns, Melissa Cochart, Chad (Lisa) Cochart, Cory (Amy) Cochart, Lacey Cochart, Heather (Jason) Krueger, Nick (Amy) Cochart, Adam (Rachael) Cochart, Kirk (Kim) Delwiche, Eric (Tracy) Delwiche, Brent (Tiffany) Delwiche, Jay (Hannah) Delwiche, Jeff (Tina) Vlies, Todd (Missy) Vlies, Amy (Dean LaLuzerne) Vlies, Jamie (Jason) Frasher, and Shane (Jill) Urban; 30 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; one sister, Bernice (Jules) Carpiaux and one sister-in-law, Lucille Cochart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harris; 3 grandchildren, Cody and Ciley Cochart and Elizabeth Vlies; 3 sisters and brothers-in-law, Beatrice (Ray) Denil, Eva (Arnold) Vandertie, and Angeline (Edward) Jandrain, brother-in-law Norbert “Tiny” Cochart; son-in-law Ron Vlies.

Funeral services will be 10:15 a.m. Thursday, November 19, 2015, at Forbes Funeral Home and 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis and St. Mary’s Church in Brussels with Rev. Ron Colombo and Deacon Paul Zenefski officiating.  Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay.  A prayer service will be 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday.  Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
