Obituary: Daniel Lee Biemeret

Daniel BiemeretDaniel Lee Biemeret, 59, of the town of Grand Chute in Appleton, passed away Wednesday night, December 23, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton.

He was born November 22, 1956, in Green Bay, the son of Donald Hugh Biemeret and Kathryn Smith. Daniel attended Green Bay East High School. He married Carol Ryan and worked beside her in her Portabello Road Coffee Shop; and later working as a carpenter and framer in home construction.

Daniel was a gifted artist who enjoyed drawing and creating beautiful stained glass pieces, one of which is incorporated in a window at The English Inn in Fish Creek. He had a huge heart and love for animals, especially his pets, some of which were rescued from local animal shelters. Daniel was happiest outdoors spending his time hunting and fishing.

He will be deeply missed by his parents, Donald and June Biemeret; three brothers, Steve (Gigi) of Grand Prairie, TX, Mark of Lake Worth, FL, Scott (Sonya) of Sister Bay, former wife and special friend, Carol Ryan of Milwaukee; aunts and uncles; cousins; nieces and nephews.

Daniel was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gabriel and Ione (Wallenfang) Biemeret, Lloyd and Jeanette (Vertz) Smith, Cyril and Helen (Miekle) Vertz; his mother, Kathryn Smith.

A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at Stella Maris Parish-Egg Harbor site with Fr. David Ruby officiating.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at the church on Saturday, January 9, 2016, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.

Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Egg Harbor at a future date.

Memorials may be given in Daniel’s memory to the Door County Humane Society (P.O. Box 93, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235).
