Obituary: Dennis C. Piatek

December 2, 1939 ~ August 18, 2022

Dennis C. Piatek, 82, Ellison Bay, died unexpectedly on Thursday, August 18, 2022. He was born to the late Edmund B. and the late Sophie H. (née Martinek) on December 2, 1939 the fourth of four children in Milwaukee Wisconsin.

He was married to Dawnelle (née Roisler) on May 14, 1966 in Milwaukee. He is survived by his wife, his daughter, Denyce Hunter (boyfriend, Mark Hayes), his sister Delphine L Mussa (late husband, John), his brother, Edmund R (late wife, Kathleen), and his sister, Michelle M and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Dennis loved snow, cars, tractors and his truck. He worked in and managed a body shop doing what he loved-working on cars. He loved snow, watching it fall as much as plowing and just being in it. He was a people person and his sense of humor was magnetic. He was kind, sensitive and caring. In the early 1980s he built a summer home in Ellison Bay which eventually became the home in which he and his wife retired.

His life will be honored with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:00AM on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Parish, 930 West State Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53233 with Fr Jerome Schroeder, celebrant. Sharing his life’s special moments will be from 9:00AM until 10:00AM.

A special note of thanks is extended to Joseph J. Piatek and Kenneth Koceja for the special love and help shown to Dennis as his health limitations increased.
