Obituary: Dennis G. Wojahn

Dennis G. Wojahn of Plymouth, MN, previously of Green Bay, WI, died September 16th, 2022 at the age of 77. Dennis was born in Oshkosh, WI on June 19th, 1945 and grew up in Waupun, WI as the third of seven siblings. He was a CPA and attorney, having graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BS in Accounting in 1967 and a Law Degree in 1972. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War from 1968-1970. He married the love of his life Karen in 1968.

Dennis was a partner at Schumaker Romenesko & Associates, Virchow Krause, and Baker Tilly. In addition to his professional career, he was an active volunteer in many organizations including Boy Scouts, Rotary International, the Neville Public Museum and Literacy Green Bay. He had a love of history, and taught classes at UWGB in their Lifelong Learning Program. He enjoyed golf and travel, and was a proud Dad and Grandpa. He and Karen owned a place in Fish Creek, WI for over 35 years and he loved spending time in Door County.

Dennis is survived by his wife Karen, his children Laura Kaegebein (Matt) and Patrick Wojahn (Dave Kolesar), and the Kaegebein grandchildren Anna, William, Grace, and Emily. He is also survived by his brothers Ted, Terry, Bill, Keith, and Tom, his sister Carlene, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Marilyn Wojahn.

The celebration of Dennis’s life will be held at Calvary United Methodist Church in Egg Harbor, WI on Saturday September 24th at 10:30 am.
