Obituary: Donald William Tesnow

Nov. 6, 1942 – Jan. 6, 2020

Donald William Tesnow died peacefully in the comfort of his family.

He is survived by his loving children and was their hero: Todd and (Tanna) Tesnow of Ellison Bay, James and (Gina) Tesnow of Port Edwards, Wisconsin, Leanne and (Tom) of Hudson, Wisconsin.

Donald felt the touch of God and was called home to his Lord and Savior and was freed of pain and suffering. He is also survived by his brother and sisters: Deloris Tesnow ‘Brown’, Richard (Bev) Tesnow, Judy and (Charles) Hass, Joanne and (Stuart) Peterson.

Donald dearly loved his nine grandchildren: Kori, Emma, Verena, Adela, Stanley, Shawn (Laura), Austin, Collin, and Brittany. And his two great-grandchildren, Nathan and Megan.

A special thanks to Unity Hospice, especially nurses Cindy, Gwen, and Josh; Door County Medical Center; Dr. J. Joshua Rebhan and nurse Dawn Johnson; Pastor Jim Honig; Casperson Funeral Home for making arrangements; and to all who cared for Donald through his journey.

To celebrate Donald’s life, a memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 25, 11 am, at Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church in Ellison Bay, with Pastor Jim Honig officiating. 

Visitation will precede, 10-11 am, at the church. Donald was laid to rest Jan. 9 in the Ellison Bay Town Cemetery during a private graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent in Donald’s name to the Wisconsin Horse Rescue, E8189 E. Smith Road, Viroqua, WI 54665.
