Milton, WI – Donna J. Geitner, 78, of Janesville, Wisconsin, died Thursday, June 2, 2022, after a short stay at Mercy Hospital. Donna was born to Edgar and Doris (Pfister) Fredrickson on January 18, 1944, in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. Donna met and married her beloved husband, Ronald Geitner, at Maplewood Church (Door County, WI) on January 14, 1961. They moved to Janesville, Wisconsin shortly after marrying where they put down roots, started their family, and remained happily married for 61 years.

Besides being a wonderful homemaker and mother, Donna also enjoyed working at The Hoffman House and Cornerstone restaurants, and many years at Prent Corporation in Janesville. She enjoyed people and conversation immensely. She loved music (both listening and playing), flowers, plants, coffee, conversation and laughter. Her sisters were her best friends and faithful shopping companions. Their annual “Up North” trips were legendary! Keeping up with old neighbors, friends, and especially family, kept Donna very busy indeed. She was a generous friend, and a good listener. Ron and Donna spent winters in Largo, Florida for many years, and made many good memories at their cottage on the Rock River in Newville, WI.

Donna is survived by her husband Ron, son Randy Geitner (Karin Matson) of Janesville, Daughter-in-law Kellie Geitner (Houston), grandson Derrick (Whitney) Geitner and Brittnie (Shan Shaefer) Wiggins (Houston), and three greatgrandchildren, Kennedy Schaefer, Nash Hufnall and Harlyn Geitner.
