Obituary: Donna Jean Lardinois

Donna Jean Lardinois, 78, of Brussels, passed away at her home on June 29, 2017.  She was born September 4, 1938, in Little Sturgeon to Mervin and Mayme (Denil) Sacotte. She graduated from Brussels High School in 1956 and married her high school sweetheart Donald J. Lardinois on May 18, 1957 in Brussels. He preceded her in death on October 11, 2013.

In her younger years, Donna loved bowling, golfing and working with crafts and flowers.  Throughout the years, she was a great supporter of her husband’s and grandchildren’s many athletic events.

Donna always enjoyed holidays and entertaining her family and relatives.  She especially loved taking care of her grandchildren as they were growing up.  Most recently, she really liked the time she spent visiting with the guys in Phil’s shop.

Survivors include four children, Paula (Roy) Tabordon, Sturgeon Bay; Philip Lardinois, Brussels; Peter Lardinois, Appleton; D. J. (Dawn) Lardinois, Sturgeon Bay; eight grandchildren, Beth (Jared) Hanson, Sarah (Jason) Poquette, Scott LeCloux, Janel (John) Anderson, Jr., Holly (Darold) Suda, Laura LeCloux (fiancé, Nick Hartwell), Jacki (Lance) Everard, Eric (fiancé Kate Spude) Lardinois; 13 great-grandchildren, Marcus, Alex, Nicole, Gavin, Vincent, Hannah, Kobey, Clayton, Parker, Evan, Owen, Donald and Caleb; one sister Gloria Tebon; two brothers, Louie and Allan “Satch” Sacotte; in-laws, John Lardinois, Diane (Alvin) Counard, Eileen Lardinois, LaVerne Lardinois and Marlene Lardinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter and son-law Peggy and Al Wautier, grandson Shawn LeCloux and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at St. Francis and St. Mary Parish, Brussels.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Friends may call Tuesday, July 4, 2017 from 2:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the Forbes Funeral Home and then after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church until time of services.  A prayer service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
