Obituary: Donna May Mencheski

Donna May Mencheski, 59, of Carlsville, in the Town of Egg Harbor, died at home Nov. 19, 2017.

She was born Nov. 6, 1958 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Marvin and Martha (Willis) Turner. Donna was united in marriage to Mitchell Leo Mencheski in Door County in April of 2000. Their two existing families became one, and they were blessed with over 17 years of marriage.

Donna initially worked for Larson’s Canning, then for Lindemann’s Cleaners, and eventually for Goodwill.

She liked going fishing especially when her children were younger, watching the stock car races, and seeing the animals raised through the 4-H programs at the fair. As her health began to decline in recent years, Donna enjoyed and found relaxation in crocheting.

She was a loving a mother and wife and will be deeply missed by husband, Mitch of Sturgeon Bay; children, Angela Bebo, Carl Foat, Tiffany Ashraf, Megan Mencheski, all of Green Bay, and Kyle and Kymberly Mencheski, both of Sturgeon Bay; grandchildren, Tanner, Alyssa, Riley, Natasha, Leigha, Hannah, Savanna, Keaton, Jarvis, and Sofia; great-grandchildren, Ellie and Mackenzie; her parents, Marvin and Martha Turner of Warrens; siblings, Kathleen Hornack of Warrens, Sharon Turner of Green Bay, Timothy Turner of Warrens, and Marie Turner of Wisconsin; and many nieces and nephews.

Donna was preceded in death by her siblings, Don and Cindy Turner.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Nov. 22, 2017 at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in Maplewood with Fr. Carl Schmitt officiating. She was laid to rest in the church cemetery.
