Obituary: Doris Johanna Kazenske

Doris died on April 11, 2019. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Hans and Thora Kirkegaard and graduated from Kelvin Park High School. She married Al Kazenske in March of 1952. They made their home in Bensenville, Illinois. They moved to Door County in 1972. She ran the Door Country Market and Bakery until she and Al retired in 1991. She then started Kitty Korner in 1992 until present.

She is survived by her husband, Al; three children, Jeffrey Alan, Ramona, California; Raymond Paul (Kathryn Ann Soukup), Sturgeon Bay; and Katherine Ann, Fish Creek. She was always proud to announce that she and Al have six grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She had a full life, and we will miss her terribly.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Wisconsin Humane Society Door County Campus, and think of Doris. Heartfelt thanks for your thoughts and prayers for us. Graveside services will be held at a later date at Blossomberg Cemetery in Peninsula State Park.
