Obituary: Dorothy Gertrude Schley

Dorothy Gertrude Schley, 91, of Sturgeon Bay, died Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Door County Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 14, 1927 in Sturgeon Bay, the daughter of the late William Henry and Mary Exilda (Londo) Johnson. She owned and operated two bars in Milwaukee, the “Look and See” and the “Look and See II.”  In 1981, she married Albert Schley, and he preceded her in death in 1985. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Dorothy is survived by her children Allen Beebe, Richard Beebe, Everette Beebe, Jr., Peggy Ann Peterson, Linda Catalano, and Mary Ann Ness.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands; brother and nine sisters, Donald Johnson, Elaine Vogel, Marion Kuehn, Lucille Kramer, Geraldine Smith, Jenivin Johnson, Shirley Shaw, Leonett Demmin, Joanne, and Joyce Gross.

Dorothy’s life was honored with a funeral service April 5, 2018 at Huehns Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay. She will be laid to rest in Bayside Cemetery, beside her husband, Albert.
