Obituary: Dorothy Mae Jeanquart

Dorothy Mae Jeanquart, 91, of Forestville, died Oct. 20, 2016, in Marinette at Sun Valley Assisted Living.  She was born Oct. 5, 1925 in Menominee, Michigan to Clarence and Mary (Venne) Dionne.  On Nov. 6, 1943, she married Elmer J. Jeanquart.  He preceded her in death on Jan. 15, 2005.

Dorothy and her husband farmed in the Town of Brussels for many years. She was a long time member of St. Hubert’s Church in Rosiere and a past member of the altar society.  Dorothy was a very active person who loved helping others.   She spent many hours making blankets for others at church.  She also baked delicious Belgian pies and for years made dozens of them for the Kermiss.

Survivors include her children:  Duane R. (Elaine) Jeanquart, Luxemburg; Donna Miller, Waupaca;  Michael (Rebecca) Jeanquart, Algoma;  Patrick Jeanquart, Algoma;  Paul (Doska) Jeanquart, Oklahoma; and Christine Jeanquart, Sturgeon Bay; 25 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-granddaughter; a sister LaVerne (Ralph) Emmes, 5 brothers: Cyril (Joan) Dionne, Clarence Dionne, Bill (Joan) Dionne, Donald Dionne, and Gordon (Sis) Dionne; in-laws, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, son Thomas (Diane), daughter Bonita, daughter-in-law Ericha, sisters: Lucille, Lorraine, and Betty; brothers: Randy, Robert, Harold, Frank, Raymond, and Everett, and numerous in-laws.

Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
