Obituary: Edward Martin Dehos

April 25, 1928 ~ June 30, 2022

Edward Martin Dehos, 94, of Baileys Harbor, died peacefully on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Cherry Cove Assisted Living in Sturgeon Bay.

He was born April 25, 1928 in Ellison Bay, son of the late Edward Phillip and Ruth C. (Knutson) Dehos. Ed proudly served his country during the Korean War in the United States Coast Guard. On December 29, 1992, he and Alice Faye Rex were united in marriage. They were wed for 28 years until she preceded him in death on June 26, 2021. Ed was a wood worker and enjoyed crossword puzzles.

He is survived by his sisters, Jane Maufort and Gloria Rex; brother, Dan (Marilyn) Dehos; sisters-in-law, Eunice Rex; special nephew and niece, Darrel and Sandy Zak; and several other nephews, nieces, and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Ruth Dehos; wife, Alice Dehos; brothers, Lealand Dehos, David Dehos, and William Dehos brothers-in-law, Charles Rex, Leonard Rex Sebastian Zak, and Joseph Maufort; and sisters-in-law, Verna (Fred) DeMeuse, Anita (Orville) Kasten, Maggie (John) Judd, Ellen (Ray) Delsart, Jenny (Don) Libby, Isabella Free, and Suzanne Rex.

Ed’s life will be celebrated during a graveside service at Blossomberg Cemetery in Fish Creek on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.
