Obituary: Elaine Marilyn Hess

Elaine Marilyn Hess, age 76 of Sturgeon Bay, died on Sunday, May 14, 2023.  She was born on June 19, 1946, to the late Elmer E. and Helen K. (Raymond) Hess in Illinois.  Elaine grew up in Chicago.  After her brother and sister-in-law moved to Door County, Elaine decided to follow.  In her earlier years, Door County was where her parents vacationed, and she found much enjoyment being there.  Being a friendly person, she made many new friends and helped out where she could.  She will be missed by many.

Elaine is survived by her sister-in-law, Beverly (Gary) Schulze and nieces and nephews, Wendy Hess, Jeffrey Hess, Debi (Gary) Reinhardt, and Amy (Jeff) Richter.  She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John Hess.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Ellison Bay Cemetery at 1 p.m.
