Obituary: Gary Lee Fictum

December 20, 1952 ~ July 10, 2022

Gary Lee Fictum, 69, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.

He was born December 20, 1952 in Green Bay, son of the late Emil and Mildred Josephine (Jepsen) Fictum. Gary graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School with the Class of 1970. Following high school, he worked as a painter and sand blaster for Peterson Builders Incorporation until their close and Gary’s retirement in 1996. He was an avid reader who loved to gamble.

Gary is survived by his sisters, Janet Gaethke and Sharon (John) Kellner; half-sister, Jeanne Moreno; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Mildred Fictum; half-brother, James (Carol) Longley; half-sister, Susan Ricco; and brother-in-law, Herman Moreno.

Gary will be laid to rest in Blossomberg Cemetery on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 4:00 p.m.
