Obituary: Gary Michael Heise

Dec. 18, 1954 – Feb. 24, 2022

Gary Michael Heise, 67, of Sturgeon Bay, perished in the fire at Butch’s Bar in Sturgeon Bay. He was born in Door County to Pearl Heise. Gary grew up in Liberty Grove and attended Gibraltar High School. For 26 years, he was a dedicated employee at the Sunshine House in Sturgeon Bay.

Survivors include cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pearl Jeanette Heise; two aunts, Eleanor Zeisler and Christine Derramo; and uncle, Theodore Heise.

A memorial service will be held Friday, March 11, 2 pm, at Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay. Visitation will precede, 1-2 pm. A tribute page is available at forbesfuneralhome.com.
