Obituary: Greg Jorns

November 11, 1974 ~ November 30, 2021

Gregory W. Jorns, 47, of Sturgeon Bay died suddenly on Nov. 30, 2021 at his home.  He was born Nov. 11, 1974 in Green Bay to David and Lois (Jossart) Jorns.  On Aug. 9, 2003, he married Tracy Cochart at St. Francis and St. Mary Parish in Brussels.

Greg’s boys Brayden and Gavin meant the absolute world to him. He did anything he could to give them the best life possible. His wife Tracy and he were like two peas in a pod and they lived life to the fullest and had so much fun together. She was the love of his life over the past 20 years. Death do us part was not long enough!

Greg had a heart of gold and if anyone needed anything he was always there to lend a hand. He enjoyed camping trips with his family and a large group of friends, that became family.  He enjoyed cooking breakfast for a crowd while camping. Everyone always raved about his cooking.

He was great at everything he put his mind to. Especially fixing small engines. His work ethic was unbelievable, and he has definitely passed that on to his two boys. He was also an avid trap shooter for many years and received the high gun award many years in a row. Many knew him from working at Glidden Lodge Resort for over 25 years. He treated that place like his home, of which he had so much pride.

Survivors include his wife Tracy, 2 sons, Brayden and Gavin; his parents David Jorns, Sturgeon Bay and Lois Thompson, Green Bay; 2 brothers, Jamie (Kristi) Jorns and Chris (Sonia) Jorns, all of Traverse City, MI; parents-in-law Terry and Mary Cochart, Brussels; in-laws, Tricia (Mike) Hanson, and Tim (Tracie) Cochart all of Brussels; nieces and nephews.
