OBITUARY: Harold “Pete” Euclide

Harold “Pete” Euclide, 91, of Brussels, died at home Dec. 20, 2018.  He was born March 21, 1927 in Gardner to Ernest and Annie (Jeanquart) Euclide.  On Dec. 14, 1954, he married LaVerne Renard.  She preceded him in death on May 31, 2016.

Pete owned and operated a well drilling business for many years.  He and his wife also farmed in the Gardner area on the family farm.  Pete was well known for raising and training Belgian horses and competing in horse pulling contests.  He also enjoyed fishing and spending time at the cabin in Beecher.

He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren.   He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jack (Marie) Euclide, two sisters, Lucy (Robert) Guilette and Viola (Gerard) Monfils.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am Thursday, Dec. 27, 2018 at St. Francis and St. Mary Parish in Brussels.  Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.   Friends may call at the Forbes Funeral Home on Wednesday, Dec. 26 from 3-6 pm.  A prayer service will be conducted at 6 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.  There will be no visitation at the church on Thursday before the funeral.
