Obituary: James Allen Ray

James Allen Ray was born in Sturgeon Bay to Herbert and Ruby (Miller) Ray. He married Dyanne Mines on December 30, 1992. He is survived by his loving wife Dyanne, his three children, Jay, Missy (Mike) Hoeft and Scott. He was proud of and loved his four grandchildren: James, Gavin, Lauryn and Morgan. He is survived by his brothers Don (Kathy) and Ken (Anna), Sister in law Nina (Charles) Fowler, Brother in law Jimmy Hyatt and nine nieces and nephews: Linden, Jerry, Jon Paul, Richard, John, Nicholas, Kelly and Scarlet. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, brother Robert, sister in law Judy, sister in law Camilla and brother in law Charles.

Jim grew up in Fish Creek and graduated from Gibraltar High School. He returned to Door County in 1985 after retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant in the Air Force. He traveled all over the world but home was always here, close to his family.

Services will be held at the Sister Bay Moravian Church on Tuesday July 17, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. Visitation is from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M. Burial will take place at Blossomburg Cemetery.
