Obituary: John Frank Moeller

John Frank Moeller, 76, of Sturgeon Bay, died May 3, 2016.  He was born March 29, 1940 in Sturgeon Bay to Arthur and Marion (Jaeger) Moeller. On June 10, 1967 he married Sandra Schultz at St. Joseph Church in Sturgeon Bay.  She preceded him in death on Dec. 12, 2001.

John, along with other family members, owned and operated Moeller’s Garage in Sturgeon Bay for many years.  The car dealership was established by John’s grandfather in 1908 and remained in the family until 1998.

John attended St. Joseph Catholic School and was a life-long member of St. Joseph Parish.  He enjoyed reading books and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.

Survivors include two children, John (April) Moeller, Egg Harbor; and Angie Moeller, Green Bay; 2 grandchildren, Samantha and Jacob Moeller; 2 step-grandchildren, Dominic and Kevin Krauel; a brother Bob (Judie) Moeller, Sturgeon Bay; a sister Nancy Jacques, DePere; brother-in-law Chuck (Nancy) Schultz, Green Bay; 3 sisters-in-law, Sue Matzke,  Barb (Ken) Brooks, and Linda Tenor, all of Green Bay; other in-laws Bernie Ellenbecker and Butch Jacques; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister Jay Ellenbecker and brother-in-law Ken Matzke.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday May 6, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with entombment in St. Joseph Mausoleum.  Friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
