Obituary: John ‘Jack’ Weber

John ‘Jack’ Weber, 59, of Sturgeon Bay, Town of Sevastopol, died July 30, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay after a short and courageous battle with cancer.

He was born October 22, 1956 in Sturgeon Bay, the youngest of nine children to the farming family of Arthur and Theresa (Neuchter) Weber. Jack graduated from Sevastopol High School in 1975 before receiving his Associate degree in Industrial Scale Model Building. He worked for PBI, and more recently Bay Ship where he was a steel cutter. Jack had previously owned and operated his own orchard and field crop spray business, “Niagara Chemical” for 18 years.

On August 27, 1977, Jack married Sue Brungraber at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in West Jacksonport.

He was a member of S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Institute and the local Union Boilermakers. Jack was a loving husband and father, and his children were the true joy and happiness in his life. He supported them without question or waiver, and he never let them forget how proud he was of all they had become. He enjoyed hunting every fall, cooking and experimenting with new recipes, spending countless Friday and Saturday nights around a campfire with family and friends, and also attending German Fest to celebrate his heritage.

He is survived, loved, and missed by his wife, Susan; three children, Kyle Weber of Two Rivers, Gregory Weber of Louisville, Kentucky, Allison (fiancé, Brad Holland) Weber of Hartland; five brothers, Allan (Diane), Roger (Diane), Don (Carolyn), Dave (Jane), Joe (Patty); three sisters, Joan (Bill) Oldenburg, Mary (Jim) Adams, and Doris (Gary) Snover of Denmark; sisters-in-law, Gloria (Dave) Pizzala, Cindy (Jim) Noll, Jane (Bob) Goggins; brother-in-law, John (Lorrie) Brungraber; many nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; and very dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Institute with Fr. Bob Stegmann officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his memory.
