Obituary: Joseph A. Ramirez

June 29, 1946 ~ May 7, 2021

Joseph Ramirez, 74, of Sturgeon Bay, died on May 7, 2021, at Sturgeon Bay Health Services.  He was born June 29, 1946, in Chicago to Charles and Manuela (Sandoval) Ramirez.

Joe lived most of his life in Chicago until several years ago when he moved to Sturgeon Bay to be near his sister.  For many years, he had provided care to his aging parents.  Fishing was one of his favorite pastimes.  Joseph loved living in Sturgeon Bay.

He is survived by 2 children, Melissa Ramirez and Valerie Duran; 3 sisters, Rachel Ramirez, Marica Duran, all of Illinois; and Monica (Cynthia Germain), Sturgeon Bay; 1 brother, Gerald (Jeanne Crenshaw) Ramirez, IL; nieces and nephews:  Terrie Adame (Bruce Canejo), Jackie (Eric) Baumgartner, Lucy Ramirez, all of Illinois, Michael Crenshaw, Florida; great nieces and nephews: Lizzie, Cameron, Maddie and Colin Baumgartner; 1 sister-in-law, Katy Ramirez, IL; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Charles Ramirez Jr., and 1 nephew, Kevin Ramirez.

Memorial services will be conducted at a later date.
