Obituary: Judy Baudhuin

Judy Baudhuin, 77, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on February 14, 2016, at Ministry Door County Medical Center.  She was born on August 10, 1938, in Sturgeon Bay to Dr. John and Ethel (Green) May.  On August 5, 1961, she married Donald J. Baudhuin in Sturgeon Bay, he preceded her in death on January 23, 1983.

Judy received her teaching degree from U.W. Madison and was a Phy. Ed. Teacher at Sturgeon Bay High School for several years before she began raising her family.  She loved skiing with family and friends and was a member of the National Ski Patrol.

Family was very important to Judy. She treasured seeing her grandchildren and delighted in their stories and accomplishments.   She took great pride in maintaining the family homestead which for years was the center for family gatherings and activities.  In her earlier years, summer time was spent with the family on Chambers Island.

Survivors include two sons, D.J. (Maureen) Baudhuin, Charlotte, NC; Butch (Jennifer) Baudhuin, Willowbrook, IL; five granddaughters, Kimmy, Sara, Bethany, Becca, and Gracie; two sisters, Kathy Feuerstein, Sturgeon Bay; Lynn Gilson, Green Bay; one brother, John (Barb) May, Forestville; brother-in-law, Frank Buth, Sturgeon Bay; and special friend, Joe Angerer.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, Mary Buth; two brothers-in-law, Jim Gilson and Dick Feuerstein.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 19, 2016, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Sturgeon Bay.  Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Forbes Funeral Home and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church on Friday.  A prayer service will be held on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorials may be directed to St. John Bosco School.
