Obituary: Kathleen “Kaye” Ann Marth

July 16, 1942 ~ February 10, 2023

Kathleen Ann “Kaye” Marth, age 80 of Sturgeon Bay, died on Friday, February 10, 2023.  She was born on July 16, 1942, to the late Glenn Albert and Myrtol Mae (VanRossum) Babcock in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. She graduated from Elkhorn High School. Kaye was united in marriage to Lincoln A. Wasano who preceded her in death on September 28, 2004.  She was united in marriage to Paul A. Marth who preceded her in death on July 20, 2011.  She was a Certified Tourist Ambassador in Door County, housekeeper and breakfast server for Newport Resort in Egg Harbor, an in home caregiver for Home Instead, and store manager for Brauns Ladies Fashion in Appleton.  Kaye was a member of the Red Hatters.

Kaye is survived by: one sister, Diane Colombe. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by: four brothers, Glenn (Violet) Babcock, Thomas (Barb) Wescott, Lawrence (Nancy) Babcock, and John Babcock in infancy; and brother-in-law, Sonny Colombe.

A memorial service for Kaye will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Baileys Harbor on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at noon with Pastor Gary Scharrig as celebrant.  Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m..  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church or ADRC of Door County.
