Obituary: Lillian Buhr

Lillian Buhr Lillian (Gerondale) Buhr, 84, of Brussels, died Jan. 10, 2016.  She was born July 26, 1931, in Brussels to Norman and Theresa Gerondale.  Lillian was a graduate of Brussels High School.

On Nov. 8, 1949, she married Edward Buhr at St. Mary’s of the Snow Church in Namur.  Together Lillian and Ed liked to fish, play cards, and get together with friends.  Lillian will be sadly missed.

Survivors include her husband, 4 children, Sandra (Peter) Delebreau, Green Bay; Debbie Jeanquart, Brussels; Terry (Carrie) Buhr, Sturgeon Bay and Tom Buhr, Green Bay.  She is further survived by her grandchildren, Jeromy (Patty) Delebreau, Jason (Melissa) Jeanquart, Jamie Jeanquart, April (Travis) LuMaye, Dustin Buhr, Meagan and Brandon Buhr; 7 great-grandchildren, Beau, Mitch, and Cody Delebreau, Joey, Bell, and Jack Jeanquart and Carley LuMaye; brother-in-law Norbert and Shirley LaCrosse, sister-in-law Alice Gerondale.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Harland and Leonard Gerondale, sister-in-law, Verna Gerondale, parents-in-law John Sr. and Laura Buhr, brothers-in-law, John Jr., Donald, and Jim Buhr; sisters-in-law, Kathleen and Norbert Vandertie, Marie LaCrosse, and Geraldine Buhr.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016, at St. Francis and St. Mary Parish in Brussels with Rev. Anthony Birdsall and Deacon Paul Zenefski officiating.  Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.  Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8:00 p.m. at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay and at the church on Thursday from 9:00 until the time of service.   A prayer service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the excellent staff at Anna’s House in Champion and the staff of Unity Hospice for all the great care and support you gave to Lillian.
