Obituary: Linda Doris (Cross) Nasman

October 1, 1938 ~ December 7, 2020

Linda Doris (Cross) Nasman, 82, of Sturgeon Bay, WI, died Monday morning, December 7, 2020 at Pine Crest Village in Sturgeon Bay.

She was born October 1, 1938 in Winchendon, MA, the daughter of Kent and Doris (Hemmings) Cross. On June 14, 1956, she married Ronald “Buzz” Tenney in Winchendon. They were blessed with two daughters, Debby and Marie, and a son, Christopher. Linda and Buzz shared eight years of marriage. He preceded her in death in 1964. 

Linda was united in marriage to Rev. Alan Nasman on September 24, 1972 in Winchendon, MA. They were blessed with a son, Jason. Linda was a devoted and loving wife and mother who took wonderful care of her family and home. She supported her husband as he served as pastor at several churches including First Baptist Church in Stockhom, ME and Bethel Baptist Church in Ellison Bay, WI. They shared over 45 years of marriage. Alan preceded her in death on October 21, 2017.

Shortly after Alan’s passing, Linda moved back to Door County, WI, where her son, Jason, and his family were living. She was a resident at Pine Crest Village in Sturgeon Bay since the beginning of 2019.

Linda enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and acquired quite a collection. She also loved to read Amish Christian novels. Above all, Linda loved her family. She always put everyone else’s needs before her own. 

Linda will be missed by her three children, Marie (Donald) Sjostedt of Cordova, AK, Christopher (Lynne) Tenney of Easton, ME, and Jason (Robin) Nasman of Sturgeon Bay, WI; son-in-law, Dennis Bossie of Kasilof, AK; six grandchildren, Derek (Renee) Bossie, Sean Sjostedt, Brandon and Luca Tenney, and Ian and Aneliese Nasman; four great-grandchildren, Noah, Isabella, Emmitt, and Willow; sister and brother, Susan (Bob) Munroe of Rehoboth, MA and Louis Cross of Northfork, CA; mother-in-law, Hazel Nasman of Belmont, MA; brother-in-law, Glenn (Ruth) Nasman of Westwood, MA; and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; daughter, Deborah Bossie; sister, Sally Baker; and other relatives.

Linda will be laid to rest beside her husband, Alan, with a private family committal.
