She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Juddville. Loretta was an active member of her church, where she taught Sunday school, was a youth group leader, served on the church council for many years and as Sunday school superintendent.

Loretta enjoyed the daily workings of their family’s business, which included growing and harvesting the fruit, canning and selling various products to lifelong customers, many who became her family’s friends. She also was known for her crocheting talent and when she was younger, her love of painting.

Survivors include her husband, Marvin; two daughters, Nancy (Dennis) Delsart and Cindy (Dave) Enigl, both of Egg Harbor; seven grandchildren, Tracy (fiancé, Dusty Buhr) and Paul (friend, Crystal) Robertoy, Nathan (Amber), Megan (friend, Michael), and Alyssa (friend, Tyler) Delsart, and James (Kaari) and Justin Enigl; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mae Rhode of Green Bay, Marie VanGundy of Ohio, and Cora (Tom) Huntter of Pennsylvania; and three sisters-in-law, Alice Merkle of Baileys Harbor, Adeline Gray of West Allis, and Rosemary (Leon) Hasenjager of Fish Creek.

Preceding her in death were her parents; infant son, James; son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Vicky Robertoy; brother, Frederick “Fritz” Merkle; and brothers-in-law, Tom VanGundy and Donald Gray.
