Obituary: Margaret E. Zito

Margaret E. Zito, nee Hogan, 95, died Sunday, May 21,2017 surrounded by her family in her home in Sister Bay, Wisconsin. Cherished wife of John “Jack” for 73 years. Loving mother of Hugh (Linda), Catherine (Thomas) Vincus, Kevin (Tamara), Steven (Catherine) and Mark. Beloved sister of Catherine Seybert. Proceeded in death by her son, James Patrick Zito, July 13, 2016 and her parents Hugh and Sara Hogan (Murray) of Denver, Colorado. Grandmother of Ann (Tavis) Rousseau, Christopher (Shannon) Stephen, Benjamin (Jane) Stephen, William Zito, Jennifer Zito, Jillian Zito and Austin Zito. She was loved and adored by her 6 Great Grandchildren, Hannah, Ethan and Luke Rousseau, Kiley and Hailey Stephen and Nehemiah James Whitwam.

Noni lived a life filled with love, blessings and many adventures. She traveled the world with Jack as his faithful mate on sea and shore. Their love of boating led them to Door County where they relocated from Barrington, Illinois in 1995. Raising her family took precedence over her career as a Registered Nurse which is how she met her beloved Jack during World War II. She enjoyed classical music, the opera, theater, gardening and creating many beautiful pieces of art.

She will be missed each and every day, but her memory and life lessons will live on forever.

Visitation is June 1, 2017 from 10 to 11 am Stella Maris Catholic Church Sister Bay. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am. In lieu of flowers the family asks for contributions to Stella Maris Parish, Door County, PO Box 49, Egg Harbor, Wisconsin 54209
