Obituary: Marilyn Annette Eberhardt

Marilyn Annette Eberhardt, 88, of Sturgeon Bay, died late Monday morning, April 2, 2018 at Door County Medical Center.

She was born March 22, 1930 in Savanna, Ill., the daughter of Benjamin Franklin Hanny and Della Marie (Kirky) Hanny. Marilyn graduated from Hanover High School in Hanover, Ill. She was united in marriage to Richard Slater Eberhardt on Dec. 27, 1951 in Hanover, Ill., where they lived for 62 years. Marilyn and Dick shared more than 60 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on Feb. 6, 2013.

Marilyn was employed as the secretary to the superintendent for the Hanover School District for 30 some years. She was a former member of the Hanover United Methodist Church in Illinois.

Marilyn is survived by her two nieces and one nephew, Susan (Jack) Moneypenny of Sturgeon Bay, WI, Greg (Tina) Hanny of Farmersville, OH, and Kelly (David) Fox of Lewisville, TX; other relatives; and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, John Hanny.

Marilyn’s life will be honored with a memorial service held in June of 2018 (date at time to be determined) at the Hanover United Methodist Church in Illinois. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Hanover.
