Obituary: Michele Rae Van Den Bogart

Michele Rae Van Den Bogart, 49, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born July 7, 1966 in Manistique, MI to the late Gordon and Charlene (Kerridge) Gould. On May 27, 2006, she married Tom Van Den Bogart in Sturgeon Bay. Michele was a “mom” first who unconditionally loved her children and grandchildren. Spending time with them meant everything to her. She also loved animals, particularly her pet American Eskimo dog, Kesha, and German Shepherd, Harley.

Her family includes her husband, Tom; five children, Sara (Matt) Howard of Peoria, IL, Matthew (Khrisstiey Schnurer) Weber, Jacob (Stephanie Reque) Goudreau, Cole (fiancé, Danielle Reid) Goudreau, all of Manistique, MI, Rylie (Kyle Baker) Goudreau of Sturgeon Bay; eleven grandchildren, Jordyn, Jenaya, Jayce, Madi, Jackson, Elliot, Killian, Kinley, Kale, Austin, and Connor on the way.

At Michele’s request, private family services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be gratefully appreciated and can be sent to Tom Van Den Bogart at 1567 Egg Harbor Rd., Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235.
