Obituary: Murphy Baxter White

March 2, 1975 ~ September 3, 2022

Murphy Baxter White, 47, died peacefully on Saturday September 3, 2022 at his home in Egg Harbor, Wisconsin with his family at his side, after a long and hard-fought battle with lymphoma.

He was born March 2, 1975 in Denver, Colorado, son of William Henry White Jr. and Mary Kathleen (Baxter) White. He was a proud graduate of Joliet Catholic Academy and Joliet Junior College. Murphy was a lifelong Packers and Cubs fan and an avid golfer. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family.

Murphy will be missed by his parents, William and Mary White; siblings, Kathryn Riley and Andrew (Emily Zizzo) White; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended relatives.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bill and Florence White; maternal grandparents, Judson and Lillian Baxter; and uncles, Lee Pauly and Michael Baxter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Stella Maris Catholic Parish – Egg Harbor site on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 11:00 am. He will be laid to rest in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at the church on Thursday morning beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.

The family would like to extend their deep appreciation to Green Bay Oncology and Unity Hospice for the compassionate care they provided Murphy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in his name to Door CANcer, Inc. or Unity Hospice.
