Obituary: Nancy (Wautier) Townsend

October 3, 1952 ~ December 9, 2020

Nancy (Wautier) Townsend, 68, of Sturgeon Bay died unexpectedly on Dec. 9, 2020. She was born Oct. 3,1952 to the late Donald and Shirley Wautier.

Nancy enjoyed spending countless hours reading books on her Kindle that was a gift given to her. She enjoyed her Friday fish fries and going to the movies. Nancy shared a special bond with her grandson Jacob and enjoyed when he’d spend his summers with her.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Donald and Shirley (Franda) Wautier, sister Karen Wautier, brother, Allan Wautier, brother, Mark Wautier, sister-in-law, Peggy Wautier, 2 nieces, Karen and Kaitlyn Schley and grandparents, Herbie and Eleanor Lenius.

Nancy is survived by her children, Nikki (Greg) Vig, Jennifer (Greg) Stauber; 5 grandchildren, Kerrigan and Brendan Vig, Jacob, Alyson and Alexa Stauber; siblings David (Joann Janssen) Wautier, Barbara (Russ) Vlies, Ann (Jon) Schley, Kelly (Sharon) Wautier, Stacy (Russ) Cihlar, special friend, Steve Mason, as well as many nieces and nephews.  

Due to COVID-19, a private family gathering and memorial will take place. Forbes Funeral Home assisted the family.  A special thank you to Dr. Binard and staff at DCMH for the care given to Nancy.
