Obituary: Natalie J. Cornell

Natalie Jane CornellNatalie J. Cornell, 91 years, of Sturgeon Bay, died January 8, 2016, at the Skilled Nursing Facility of Ministry Door County Medical Center.

She was born March 10, 1924 in Sturgeon Bay, the daughter of the late William and Rose (Guinen) Cornell. Natalie was a kind, gentle, patient and easy going, she never complained. She loved all animals especially cats. Natalie enjoyed her time working at the Sunshine House, she was one of the first clients and worked there into her early 80’s.

She was lovingly cared for by her niece Pat Gosser, and enjoyed time spent with Pat’s family on Holidays and special gatherings. Other surviving  nieces and nephews are Mike and Jim Monahan, Molly Bogenschutz, Darrel, Jim, Tom, Bob, John, Richard, Mike and Mark Cornell.

Preceding her in death were her parents; five brothers, Gordon, Loyal, Donald, Roger, Karol”Don”; one sister, Marian Monahan, neice, Maureen Christopher, and three nephews, Thomas Monahan, Bill Cornell and Pat Cornell.

Funeral services will be held in the spring of 2016. Burial at Bayside Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Skilled Nursing Facility at Ministry Door County Medical  Center for their kindness and the  excellent care given to Natalie over the past 5 years. Also Thank You to Dr. Richard Hogan for his compassionate care of Natalie over the years.
