Obituary: Patricia A. (Krenke) Stage

March 16, 1937 ~ November 25, 2021

Patricia A. Stage, 84, of Sister Bay, died early Thursday (November 25, 2021) at Skilled Nursing Facility in Sturgeon Bay.

She was born March 16, 1937 in Milwaukee the daughter of the late Russell and Ruth (Appel) Krenke. Pat attended Lincoln School of the Arts in Milwaukee. On June 21, 1973 she married Charles R. Stage in Port Washington. She worked for Dutchland Dairy, 25 years at Milwaukee Machine Products Co., and provided maintenance services at Thiensville Fire and Police Departments, and worked at Kelch Corporation. She and Chuck retired to Door County.

Pat was a member of Christ Ev. Lutheran Church, Baileys Harbor and the Ladies Aid at church. She enjoyed all wildlife and feeding the outdoor animals every night was very important to her. Pat enjoyed gardening, flowers, playing bingo, traveling and going on cruises. She never missed a birthday card, making sure it arrived days before each family members special day. 

Survivors include her devoted husband, Charles of Sister Bay; five dear children, Melinda (Edward) Gunn of Groton, NY (and their children, Brittany and Brandy), Lisa (James) Oelerich of Milwaukee (and their children, Stephanie, Matthew, Michael), Jeff (Christine) Stage of Carney, MI (and their children, Neil, Nick, Ryan, Craig), Jan (Monica) Stage of Appleton (and their children, Nicholas, Jennie, Anneka, Vanessa), Gene (Chris) Stage of Mason, MI (and their children, Tara, Jerma, Eric); 14 great-grandchildren with two on the way; brother-in-law, Fred (Arda) Stage of Rapid River, MI; two sisters-in-law, Susie (Stan) Heiniger of Thiensville, and Teri Roddy of Manistique, MI.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Russel and Ruth Krenke; sister, Kathleen; brother-in-law, Teddy; and sister-in-law, Patricia Lancour.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Christ Ev. Lutheran Church, Baileys Harbor with Rev. Peter Lindemann officiating. Burial will be at Baileys Harbor Town Cemetery.

Friends may call Monday, December 6, 2021 at Huehns Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. There will be a devotion Monday evening at 7:30 p.m. at Huehns Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made in her memory for Door County Humane Society or Baileys Harbor Audubon Society.
