Obituary: Rita Jean Frisque

Rita Jean Frisque, 91, of Sturgeon Bay, died on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Sturgeon Bay Health Services.

She was born September 3, 1929 in Sturgeon Bay, daughter of the late Emmitt and Theresa (Hunsader) Roberts. Rita graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School with the Class of 1947. She then began her career as a dental assistant, working for Dr. Gorgas Paulsen and later for Dr. Edward Koutnik until her retirement. She married Elvin Bernard Frisque. Rita enjoyed her sewing club, St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she joyfully sang in the church choir, and traveling the world with the Ehrbar’s.

Rita is survived by her son, Brian (Jennifer Jorns) Frisque and grandchildren, Elvin J. Frisque and Emilie Jorns-Frisque; nieces and nephews; and her eye doctor/close friend, Dr. J Eric Paulsen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmitt and Theresa Roberts; husband, Elvin Frisque; and two brothers.
