Obituary: Robert Michael Polomis

May 13, 1958 ~ November 7, 2022

 Robert Michael Polomis, 64, of Nekoosa, Wisconsin, formerly of Door County, died Monday, November 7, 2022.

Robert (Bob) was born on May 13, 1958 to William (Wild Bill) Polomis and Eleanor Brooks Walsh in Menominee, MI.  He grew up in Wausaukee, WI, with his three siblings and later settled in Door County.

Bob was a kind and loyal partner, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.  Most that knew Bob felt the extent of his kindness and passion.  He was a dreamer, loved to travel, and cared deeply for his children and family.  He left a legacy of beautifully hand-crafted log homes throughout Door County and the state. Some of his work is as notable as hanging iron on the addition to the Green Bay Packers stadium.

He is survived by his wife, Annie Yang, his daughter, Rochelle (Gerald) Hasselbach and grandson, James, daughter Abby (Ryan) Duebler and grandchildren, Salem, Riley, and Basil, daughter, Elly Polomis, step-daughter, Molly Rockwell and grandsons, Leo and Pierce, step-son Monkato (Mai Xiong)Yang, step-son, Thanuvong Yang and grandson, Cameron, step-daughter, Molly Yang, step-son, Saikong (Amanda Hang) Yang, and step-son, Cheeming Yang. He is survived by his brothers, Richard (Joann) Polomis, Raymond (Carrie) Polomis, and sister Patricia Cannon. He is survived by many loved nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Bill and Eleanor and previous wife, Ann Hollister.

A service will be held at Casperson Funeral Home in Sister Bay on Sunday December 4, 2022. Open House from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. with Memorial Service starting at 2:30 pm.  Following the service, Bob has requested to “have a big party” which will take place at The Dörr Hotel located at 2329 Mill Rd, Sister Bay, WI from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.
