Obituary: Roger James Crewe

Roger James Crewe, 82, of Sturgeon Bay died at Sturgeon Bay Health Services.

He was born in Athelstane, the son of James Edelbeck and Stella I. (Buchanan). Roger graduated from Green Bay Southwest High School in 1955 and enlisted to serve his country with the United States Air Force the following day. He served in the Air Force (actively) for three and a half years and was stationed in Germany and later Bangkok, Thailand.

Upon his discharge from service, he drove buses for the coach company Wisconsin Michigan Trailway. Roger’s primary employment was with Lunda Construction, a road and bridge construction company out of Green Bay. He later worked for the James River paper mill in Green Bay.

He enjoyed traveling, going to the casino and riding his motorcycle. Roger was a member of the Retreads Motorcycle Club in Green Bay.

He is survived by his four children, Cyndie (John) Farabaugh of Frisco, Texas, Debbie Peterson of Parrish, Florida, Todd (Stephanie) Crewe of Sturgeon Bay, and Scott (Tina) Crewe of Forestville; four grandchildren, Whitney Holt, Elvin Frisque, and Monica and Braden Crewe; great-granddaughter, Kinley; and other relatives.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, James Edelbeck and Stella (Robert) Crewe; and other relatives.

No public services will be held.
