Obituary: Roger Quam

May 22, 1945 – Jan. 4, 2020

Roger Quam, 74, of Oshkosh died at his home. He was born in Sturgeon Bay to Lloyd and Frieda (Schmidtke) Quam. Roger graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School, then worked at Oshkosh Corporation for more than 30 years.

Roger liked to talk on the phone and visit with friends and family. He also enjoyed playing cards and traveling to Florida, Oklahoma and Branson, Missouri. Roger was always busy doing something.

He is survived by one brother, Donald (Carlye) Quam, Waukesha; two sisters, Shirley (Mark) Vandermissen, Luxemburg; Linda (Wayne) Block, Pickerel Lake; three sisters-in-law, Judy Quam, Watertown; Bev Quam, Oklahoma; and Marianne Quam, Sturgeon Bay; nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Sylvester, Charlie, and Carlton Quam; one niece, Mary Quam; two nephews-in-law, Scott Feltes and Gregg Umentum.

Funeral services will be held in the spring.
