Obituary: Rosemary Nelson

Rosemary Nelson, 78, of Sturgeon Bay passed away at her residence on March 18, 2017.  She was born July 30, 1938 in Milwaukee to George and Mercedes (Marineau) Huebner.

For many years Rose and her husband owned and operated Fast Freddie’s Gas Station in Baileys Harbor.  She also worked as a cook and custodian for the Gibraltar School System.  After retiring, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and many close friends.  Rose was an avid sports enthusiast and loved attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and following the Green Bay Packers.

Survivors include her two sons, Glenn (Tracy) Nelson, Sturgeon Bay; Chuck (Gail) Nelson, Egg Harbor; six grandchildren, Emma Nelson, Adaline Nelson, Caleb Nelson, Madeline Jilot, Lindsay Jilot and Ethan Jilot; two sisters, Marland “Babe” (Tom) Gengler, Wauwatosa, and Florence “Flip” Rose, Brookfield.

A time of gathering and remembrance will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Bay on Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m.
