Obituary: Rosemary R. Sipple

Rosemary R. Sipple, 83, of Valparaiso, Indiana, and formerly of Sister Bay, died February 25, 2016. She was born July 28, 1932 in Chicago, IL to Jack & Grace (Sherman) Jones. She is preceded in death by her beloved infant son, Charles in 1965 and her sister, Nadine (Jones) Baumann.

On May 29, 1954 Rosemary married John C. Sipple who preceded her in death in 2003. Survivors include their children; Patricia (Scott) Peterson of Coralville, IA, Kenneth Sipple of Bloomingdale, IL, John (Kathy) Sipple of Valparaiso, IN, Karl (Luann) Sipple of Maple Grove, MN and her six grandchildren. Katie and Ashley will always remember Rosemary as “Grandma Azure,” named when children because the family dog was named ‘Azure’ too.

Rosemary began her career as a bookkeeper with Pinkerton Security and later decided to become a full-time mother to raise her (4) children. After many years of service filled with good times and hardships, Rosemary and John retired to Door County where they enjoyed walks by the bay, beautiful sunsets, fresh air, good eats, and spoiling their Golden Retrievers. Rosemary kept fond memories of her time at Des Plaines Bible Church, St. Paul Lutheran Church, St. Paul’s bowling league, and the companionship of friends and family. In more recent years she continued to relish visits from family and their pets, shopping, reading, crossword puzzles, and especially homemade Sunday dinners at John and Kathy’s.

A funeral service will be held at Sister Bay Baptist Church on Saturday, March 12, 2016, 11:00am with visitation preceding the service at 10:30am, and procession to Little Sister Cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers, Rosemary would appreciate Memorial donations be made to Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, The Salvation Army Green Bay, WI., or Campus Crusade for Christ International
