Obituary: Sandra Nancy Williamson

June 1, 1953 ~ October 10, 2020

Sandra Nancy Williamson, 67, of Sturgeon Bay, died at Asprius Hospital in Wausau on Saturday, October 10, 2020.

She was born June 1, 1953, daughter of the late Ragnvald Knutin and Solveig (Sandvik) Williamson. After graduating from Sevastopol High School with the Class of 1970, she obtained her associate degree from UW-Eau Claire. In 1973, Sandy enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served as a radio messenger. She was awarded the National Defense Service Medal before her honorable discharge. Sandy worked as a crew manager for the Egg Harbor Rd. McDonald’s and was known to most as the “coffee lady”. She attended Bay View Lutheran Church and enjoyed visiting Peninsula Players. Sandy was a cat lover and an avid reader, especially Stephen King’s work.

She will be missed by her son, Arne Williamson and brother, Arthur (Renee) Williamson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ragnvald and Solveig Williamson and brothers, John and Robert Williamson.

Sandy’s life will be honored with a memorial service at Huehns Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 4:30 p.m. with military honors to follow. She will be laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 3:30 p.m. until the time of service. Masks and social distancing are required for all in attendance during the visitation and service. Hand sanitizer and temperature checks will be available upon entry into the funeral home. A dual-chapel occupancy will be limited to 50 people (25 in each chapel).
